Compact disc crafts are fun to make. Seashells and sand crafted on the CD's allow you to bring the beach into your home and they make great home decor gifts. Add a few faux pearls (or even real pearls if you wish), and rhinestones for color and hang these CD crafts around your home. Impressive!
Where can you get the compact discs to use on these projects? How about looking at the discs you have lying around the house? If you have some that have stopped working, or have been damaged to the point you don't want to play them anymore, then use them for your arts and crafts.
What about the ones that come to you through the mail? I used to get AOL discs all the time and was throwing them away - adding to my local landfill. What a waste when I could have turned them into something beautiful and worth keeping. Of course, I have since turned useless compact discs into beautiful works of art.
