Shell Craft Seashell
Sculptures

Shell craft seashell sculptures are composed of a variety of different materials. The “canvas” can be anything from wood bases such as shown above to glass. Any flat surface can be used to build up a sculpture.

Round, oval, rectangular, square – the shape doesn’t really matter either. I have used many different items to make my Shellcraft sculptures on. Sometimes the edges are plain and sometimes they are scalloped. The thickness of the bases can vary from ¼" to 1". They just have to be strong enough to support the seashells, figurines, and other objects I use.

Sometimes I just look at something and a possible design pops into my head. Then it’s take hold of the item and try the idea out on it. I may make some changes as I go along, improving the original idea, or the idea may be good enough to stand on its own.

In this section of Shellcraft Guides, I’ll be sharing with you the methods and steps I take to create these seashell projects. Try a project or two and share your results with Shellcraft Guides. Use the Contact Us form to send your information and maybe a photo or two.
