Introduction

A Shellcraft can come in a variety of forms. There are those presented by myself via Shellcraft Guides which are designed using seashells, coral, and sand on a variety of media. There are also many other ways that seashells, coral, and other beach gleanings can be used to design a shellcraft.

Presented here are seashell projects sent to me by visitors to Shellcraft Guides. You will see a variety of ways that seashells arts and crafts can be designed.

To see the project in a slightly larger view, click on the photo. You can get a bit more of the detail that way.

If you would like to see your work featured on Shellcraft Guides, send me photos of your project along with your name and some information about the project. Use the Shellcraft Guides contact form for your submission.

Shell Craft Crab by Mark C.

crab shellcraft by Mark C This elaborate shell craft, in which seashells and coral take the form of a crab, was put together by Mark a visitor to Shell Craft Guides. He made the crab from a collection of seashells and coral that were picked up from the beaches on the West coast of Florida somewhere between Naples and Fort Myers.

According to Mark it only took him a mere 4 hours to puzzle out where and how to attach the seashells to the coral and to each other. His ingenuity and patience helped him in crafting this great looking Crab.

Shell Craft Motorcycle by Alice C.

motorcyle for 2 shellcraft by Alice C Alice used tiny black and white beads for the eyes and pink ones for the tongue. Lettered olive seashells that have the point broken off make the 'bodies'...a broken auger seashell made the handlebar rest for her shellcraft.

Alice beachcombs for her seashells. She loves using broken seashells by turning the 'pretty side' up and gluing the broken side down.
